Kyrgyzstan Materials 28 November 2011 12:19 (UTC +04:00)

A rehearsal of the Kyrgyz president's inauguration was held without the participation of the main actor, KyrTAG reported quoting Sultan Raev, a presidential adviser, as saying on Monday.

"Yesterday we held a rehearsal of the presidential inauguration," Raev said. "The main part of the celebration will be held at the Satylganova Philharmonic and then continued with a parade in front of the White House, where Otunbayeva as a Chief of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan will bid a farewell to the guard. Then the elected president will greet the guard."

Raev said the ceremony will be fairly restrained and modest.

"The ceremony will be held without undue pomposity. The guests from the CIS countries are expected to arrive. We brought a feature in the script. The elders will bless the president after he takes the office. It is a feature of the Kirghiz people. We invited elders from all parts of the country, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the country," he added.

"The peculiarity of the presidential inauguration is that for over the past 20 years of independence it is the first time of peaceful transfer of power in Kyrgyzstan. It is the greatest achievement of Kyrgyzstan," Raev underscored.

Last preparations for the inauguration of President Atambayev are being held in Bishkek. About 10 million soms are allocated for the inauguration which is scheduled for Dec. 1.
