BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 5. The import of agricultural products to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 18,143 tons from June 23 through June 29, 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, in the Chuy region, 9,697 tons of agricultural products were imported. Among them, 2,321 tons were nuts imported from China, Iran, and Vietnam.
The Osh region received 3,777 tons of agricultural products. Specifically, 1,088 tons of vegetables were imported from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, along with 456 tons of watermelons and 159 tons of melons from Uzbekistan.
The Batken region imported 2,014 tons of agricultural products, with 1,142 tons of fruits and vegetables imported from Uzbekistan.
In the Naryn region, 1,095 tons of agricultural products were imported. Notably, 718 tons of nuts were imported from China.
The Jalal-Abad region received 1,049.3 tons of agricultural products, including 340 tons of flour imported from Kazakhstan.
Lastly, the Talas region imported 510 tons of agricultural products, with 460 tons of flour imported from Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan exported 12,164 tons of agricultural products during the period from June 23 through June 29, 2023.
