BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 18. Passenger rail services between Bishkek and Moscow will resume after a four-year break, Trend reports.

According to the Kyrgyz Railways, the state-owned railway company, the train will depart from Bishkek on December 18.

The train will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Bishkek, arriving in Moscow on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Trains from Moscow will depart on Sundays and Wednesdays, arriving in Bishkek on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Railway passenger services between Russia and Kyrgyzstan were suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, train services to Bishkek resumed from Samara, Novosibirsk, and Kazan.

Moreover, in 2025, passenger trains between Kyrgyzstan and Russia will continue to operate on the Bishkek-Kazan route once a week and the Bishkek-Novosibirsk route once every eight days.
