Two French EU staff workers were recalled from Tajikistan as a result of engaging in a bar brawl the week before, dpa quoted the Interfax news agency as reporting on Tuesday.
Norbert Jousten, the head of the EU representative offices in the former Soviet republic, made the move to remove the men from the country after the June 4 incident, in which the two men drunkenly engaged in a fistfight in a cafe with police officers as they tried to restore order.
The policemen reportedly suffered light injuries in the incident.
