BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 25. Tajikistan has shared data on wheat flour imports in the first half of this year, Trend reports citing the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
According to statistics, Tajikistan from January through June 2022 imported 26,683 tons of wheat flour worth $9.7 million.
As reported, Kazakhstan is the main supplier of wheat flour to Tajikistan. During the reporting period, Tajikistan imported from this country 22,458 tons of flour for $7.8 million.
In addition, Kazakhstan in the first half of 2022 also exported to Tajikistan 366,258 tons of wheat worth $117.7 million.
Meanwhile, the total value of Tajikistan's imports from January through June 2022 amounted to $2.3 billion, which is an increase of 27.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($1.8 billion).
