Turkmen president appoints new head of Migration Service

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed a decree appointing D.Bayramov Chairman of the State Migration service, Turkmenistan-4 national TV channel reported on Wednesday.
Earlier Bayramov served as Deputy Minister of the National Security. The former head of the Migration Service Ashyrgeldi Begliyev was dismissed due to a job transfer.
According to local media outlets, the previous day at a State Security Council meeting Berdimuhammadov defined a number of "urgent tasks before the Migration Service arising from its duties and powers, as well as given the growing interest by the international community in rapidly developing Turkmenistan, whose guests are increasingly counted as foreign citizens each year."
The Migration Service ensures issuing visas to foreign citizens and stateless persons, and passports of Turkmen citizens.
