BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. The authorized capital of all registered banks of Turkmenistan as of March 1, 2023 amounted to over 6.84 billion Turkmen manats ($1.95 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
According to the information, this is 6.7 percent more than the same date last year (6.41 billion Turkmen manats, or $1.83 billion).
The authorized capital of state-owned commercial banks at the beginning of March 2023 amounted to 2.2 billion Turkmen manats ($629.72 million), which is 11.6 percent more than in the same month of 2022 (1.97 billion Turkmen manats, or $563.89 million).
At the specified time, the authorized capital of joint-stock commercial banks increased by 12.6 percent compared to the beginning of March 2022 (1.58 billion Turkmen manats or $452.25 million), amounting to 1.78 billion Turkmen manats ($509.5 million).
Meanwhile, the authorized fund of the State Development Bank of Turkmenistan remained unchanged for the year and as of March 1 this year amounted to 2.85 billion Turkmen manats ($815.78 million).
