The production of fertilizers has increased by 4.2 percent in Uzbekistan in Jan.-Sept. 2014, compared to the same period of 2013 and stood at 881,900 metric tons, Uzkimyosanoat State Joint-Stock Company said.
The production of nitrogen fertilizers grew by 10.8 percent and totaled 718,600 metric tons, while the production of phosphate fertilizers dropped by 16.6 percent (101,700 metric tons) and potash fertilizer production fell by 18.8 percent (61,600 metric tons).
The production of fertilizers dropped by 10 percent in Uzbekistan in 2013, compared to 2012 and stood at 1.11 million metric tons, according to the official statistics.
The production of nitrogen fertilizers fell by 7.8 percent and totaled 869,700 metric tons, potash fertilizers - 1.3 times (84,600 metric tons), while the production of phosphate fertilizers increased by 2.7 percent (156,600 metric tons).
