Movement of entrepreneurs and businessmen - Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP), expressing the interests of the middle class owners - entrepreneurs and farmers, goes to election in order to create more opportunities to strengthen the position of this class, chairman of the executive committee of the political council of the party Sodikzhon Turdiev said in an interview with Pravda Vostoka (The Truth of the Orient) newspaper.

He said that the election platform of UzLiDeP included the tasks on improving the legislation, aimed at strengthening the priority and protection of property - power and the main resource, ensuring the development of economy, a guarantor of economic freedom.

The dynamic development of small business, which involves more than 75 percent of the population employed in the economy spheres, creation of a favorable business environment for the realization of private initiatives are also the priorities of the party.

"In doing so, we will pay special attention to the prevention of the facts of unlawful interference of the state and regulatory bodies in the financial and economic activity of business entities," said Turdiev.

A special place in the election platform of the party is also occupied by provision of growth of private investment volumes to the country's economy by creating a more favorable business environment, strengthening of export orientated economic sectors, support and creation of favorable economic and financial and customs conditions, the formation of new transport corridors.

One of the main tasks of the party is also to achieve the leading role of private property in industry and its major branches.

"We support the continuation of policy that provides for an increase of the number of small enterprises in the industrial sphere, equipped with high technologies, producing competitive products with high added value, based on the achievements of science and technology," he said.

The priority tasks of the party include the development of cooperation between large industries and small businesses, simplification of bank lending system, the creation of more favorable conditions for the access of business entities to the raw material resources, the development of diversified farms, the formation of real class of owners in the country, diversification and agricultural development.

UzLiDeP is the youngest political party in Uzbekistan, founded in 2003. It consists of about 230,000 members. In the 2009 election, the party won 53 of 135 seats in the Legislative (lower) chamber of the parliament of Uzbekistan.

The election to the Legislative Chamber will be held December 21, 2014.
