Uzbek authorities plans to sign agreements for the construction of 10 solar and wind power plants in 2022, Trend reports citing the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
In particular, it is planned to sign agreements for the construction of eight solar photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 1,900 MW in Bukhara, Namangan, Khorezm, Kashkadarya, Fergana and other regions of Uzbekistan, as well as two wind power plants with a total capacity of 1,700 MW in Karakalpakstan.
The total capacity of the new power plants will be 3,600 MW.
At the same time, in 2023, four solar power plants with a total capacity of 1,097 MW in Samarkand, Jizzakh, Navoi and Surkhandarya regions and four wind farms with a total capacity of 1600 MW in Karakalpakstan, Bukhara and Navoi regions will start producing electricity.
