Trend:

Uzbekistan’s IT-Park is developing a regulation according to which, from April 1, 2022, the procedure for issuing IT-Visa for foreign investors, founders of IT companies and specialists in the field of information technology, as well as members of their families, will begin to operate in the country, Trend reports via the press service of IT-Park.

Plans for the implementation of IT-Visa from the second half of 2022 in order to attract highly qualified foreign specialists were announced at a meeting of the board of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications at the end of 2021.

It is planned that IT-Visa will be issued to individuals with a validity period of up to three years. Holders of such a visa will be able to freely enter and leave Uzbekistan during the period of validity of the visa, stay in any region of Uzbekistan without the obligation to re-register, and receive education and medical services on the conditions provided for citizens of Uzbekistan.

In addition, visa holders will be able to obtain a residence permit in Uzbekistan in a simplified manner by purchasing residential real estate of any value.

IT Park is a complex of facilities, buildings and structures designed to ensure startup and market access, an extraterritorial free economic zone for IT companies, including integration with scientific and educational organizations. The first IT Park in Uzbekistan was launched in Tashkent on July 24, 2019.
