BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 28. The total portfolio of bank loans in Uzbekistan amounted to 355.5 trillion soums ($31.9 billion) from January through August 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
This indicator increased by 15.7 percent compared to the same period last year (307.2 trillion soums or $27.6 billion).
During this period, the loan portfolio of state-owned banks amounted to 297.6 trillion soums ($26.8 billion), and private banks – 57.9 trillion soums ($5.2 billion).
The volume of non-performing loans (NPL) for the corresponding period amounted to 17.5 trillion soums ($1.6 billion).
