Uzbekistan discloses value of construction work done over 9M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. The value of construction work carried out in Uzbekistan from January through September 2022 amounted to 94.1 trillion soums ($8.4 billion), which is an increase of 21.9 percent compared to the same period of the last year (77.2 trillion soums, or $6.9 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

During this period, most of the construction work was carried out in the country’s Tashkent city for a total of 23.3 trillion soums ($2 billion), followed by the Tashkent region for a total of 8.4 trillion soums ($758.7 million), Samarkand region (6.3 trillion soums, or $568.6 million).

In 2021, construction work worth 107.4 trillion soums ($9.9 billion) was carried out in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the value of construction work carried out in 2020 amounted to 88.1 trillion soums ($8.1 billion).
