TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 8. Uzbekistan and Qatari entrepreneurs discussed plans to create a joint fund for financial support of new investment projects, Trend reports.
These issues were discussed between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the former Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, the founder of a number of large investment and industrial holdings of the country Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, who arrived in the country as part of a delegation to develop agreements at the highest level.
During the meeting, the involved parties engaged in a detailed discussion regarding the advancement of prospective investment projects in Uzbekistan.
Among these projects are the construction of a modern hotel complex in the Bukhara city, a large logistics center, a commercial and residential complex in Tashkent city, the development of high-speed road and railway infrastructure, airport modernization, as well as projects in the fields of energy, metallurgy, textile industry, livestock, construction materials manufacturing, and more.
They stressed that the implementation of these projects will be carried out in accordance with the joint roadmap.
