TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 17. LUKOIL Uznefteprodukt LLC, which manages the LUKOIL gas station in Uzbekistan, has signed the first franchise agreements with entrepreneurs in the Uzbek regions of Tashkent, Bukhara, and Navoi, Trend reports.
Six gas stations will be renamed in the LUKOIL corporate style in 2024, according to the conditions of the agreements.
According to LUKOIL Uznefteprodukt, meaningful conversations are presently taking place with businesspeople from the Fergana and Samarkand regions, as well as others.
Meanwhile, Lukoil has spent over $10 billion on Uzbekistan projects under a production sharing agreement (PSA).
In 2017, the firm launched the Kandym gas processing complex in Uzbekistan's Bukhara, with a capacity of 8.1 billion cubic meters of gas per year, with the goal of processing hydrogen sulfide-containing gas and producing purified natural gas, stable gas condensate, and lump sulfur.
In the same year, the company launched key production and technological facilities at the Gumbulak and Adamtash fields (Uzbekistan's Kashkandarya region).
Since 2018, LUKOIL has obtained 5 billion cubic meters of gas per year from these fields.
