TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 27. Uzbekistan's energy production continues to fall, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the country produced 7.7 billion cubic meters of gas from January through February 2024, which is 5.58 percent lower year-on-year.
Uzbekistan produced 118,500 tons of oil from January through February 2024. This figure is 6.92 percent less overthe past year.
The volume of gas condensate production increased by 2.58 percent and amounted to 214,700 tons.
Uzbekistan's enterprises reduced coal production by 3.38 percent during this period, reaching 659,000 tons.
Meanwhile, Uzbekneftegaz, a state-owned holding company in Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry, aims to generate 29.3 billion cubic meters of gas this year, which is lower than earlier predictions.
According to the 2024 state program, the country intends to provide the population and sectors of the economy with uninterrupted access to energy resources.
