TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 25. Uzbekistan produced 42.8 billion kWh of electricity from January through July 2024, Trend reports.
The data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that the production volume shows a 5.6 percent decline compared to the same period last year (45.2 billion kWh in January–July 2023).
At the same time, the country’s electricity production increased to 6 billion kWh in July 2024, compared to 5.7 billion kWh in June 2024.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 435.2 trillion soums ($34.5 billion) from January through July 2024. This figure has increased by 26.3 percent year-on-year (345 trillion soums, or $2.4 billion in January–July 2023).
In the structure of production, Uzbekistan’s electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply production reached 34 trillion soums ($2.7 billion) during this period.
