Iranian official criticizes France's position towards Iran
Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN Mohammad Khazaee criticized the view of his French counterpart about Iran's nuclear program, the official website of the Iranian Al-Alem television channel reported.
French Permanent Representative to the UN Gérard Araud said that his country's government would soon prepare a draft resolution to tighten sanctions on Iran.
"Iran has always had the intention to obtain nuclear energy to meet its needs and this issue has repeatedly been reflected in the IAEA reports," Khazaee added.
He also added that Araud's statement may push the countries of the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) to withdraw from it.
