Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Tuesday that change of officials has no impact on Iran's nuclear policies.
Talking to foreign and domestic reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said the Islamic Republic system, along with the officials and people, would not let the enemies take advantage of domestic changes and developments, IRNA reported.
Rejecting the hue and cry made by foreign media on the change in Iran's Foreign Ministry, he reiterated that they are always trying to create discord between the Iranian officials and nation.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Monday issued an order appointing Ali-Akbar Salehi, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), as the country's acting foreign minister.
The spokesman said talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany (P5+1) are held within a specific framework.
So, the change of individuals will not change the country's nuclear policies and the negotiation strategies,' he added.
Last week, Iran and the P5+1 -- Britain, China, France, Russia and the US plus Germany -- wrapped up two days of multifaceted talks in Geneva, Switzerland.
During the meetings, both sides agreed to hold the next round of negotiations in the Turkish city of Istanbul in late January.
On the assassination of an Iranian national in Canada, the spokesman said the Canadian charge d'affaires to Tehran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry to hear Iran's protest to his government over the crime. Ottawa was called for a probe and announcing the outcome of the legal action by the Canadian government, he added.
