Austrian Airlines have denied previous reports that the company has stopped the flights between Tehran and Vienna, company's representative told Trend.

"Austrian Airlines rejects rumors to stop its flights between Tehran and Vienna. Austrian Airlines has been a reliable partner and connecting transport link between Iran and Austria for almost 30 years," Senior Director of Corporate Communications Peter N. Thier told Trend.

"We plan to continue the flight route Vie-Thr-Vie up to five times a week," Thier underscored.

Yesterday, JahanNews reported that Austrian Airlines will stop the flights to Iran in October of this year.

In particular, according to JahanNews, Austrian Airlines will stop these flights on October 10.

Austrian Airlines representative and Lufthanza's director of marketing and business development department in Iran Hooman Bakhshi also confirmed the news about Austrian Airlines stopping the flights, being fake.

"We strongly deny this information. We do not have any problems with these flights, as we've been flying from Vienna to Tehran 5 times per week," Bakhshi told Trend, adding that prior to September 2, the number of weekly flights was 4, which has been later increased to 5.
