(IRNA) - Iran and Malaysia here Wednesday discussed avenues for bolstering their bilateral cooperation in the field of health.
Iran's Minister of Health Kamran Baqeri Lankarani met with Malaysia's Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Shahrizat binte Abdul Jalil.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the meeting, Lankarani said the two countries have been taking steps to boost their health and education cooperation, reports Trend.
He said Iranian and Malaysian officials have discussed the matter in various meetings and are ready to sign an agreement to boost their health cooperation in the near future.
The Malaysian minister, in the meeting yesterday, was briefed on Iran's activities in the field of health, and called for more active cooperation in this field.
