Volume of operations in Iranian ports increased by 20%

The total amount of products loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports between 20 March and 20 April, has increased by 20 percent year on year.

According to the country's Ports and Maritime Organization, over the mentioned period 22.68 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded at about 28 ports across the country.

The statistics also suggest that the volume of the non-oil products loaded and unloaded increased by 16 percent while the figure for oil products has hiked by 26 percent.

In the mentioned period 15.379 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded at the country's ports.

The figure for loading oil products in the mentioned period is 11.158 million tons. Meanwhile 4.22 million tons of non-oil products were loaded from Iranian ports

The total amount of unloading for oil and non-oil cargoes was 7.3 million tons.

According to the statistics, 2.186 tons of oil products have been unloaded in the mentioned period.

Iran also unloaded 5.114 million tons of non-oil products at its ports over the past month.
