Iran exports 71,000 barrels of liquid gas to Pakistan

Iran has exported 71,000 barrels of LPG to Pakistan, Mehr news agency reported Nov. 1.

The consignment, which was loaded in recent days from Siri NGL (natural gas liquids) Refinery included 51,000 barrels of propane and 20,000 barrels of butane.

The cargo is the fifth natural gas liquids cargo exported to Pakistan from the beginning of current fiscal year (March 20, 2016).

Earlier in August, Naser Sajjadi, the managing director of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), said Pakistan is the biggest regional customer of Iran’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Iran exported about $3.577 billion worth of various liquid gases, including methane, propane, butane, in five months of the current fiscal year.

The country’s propane exports decreased by 18 percent in terms of value to $574 million, meanwhile butane exports soared by 100 percent to $1.94 billion during the five-month period.
