Iran is negotiating with Philippines National Oil Company (PNOC) over export of 260,000 barrels of crude oil per day, Masoud Besharati, an official with the multinational Pergas consortium, said, Mehr news agency reported March 7.

PNOC is one of 11 companies of Pergas consortium, which has signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) for carrying out studies over two oilfields in Iran.

Besharati further said that the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the PNOC to provide feedstock of a 400,000 barrel refinery in the Asian country.

Philippine also has signed a MoU with the NIOC to build a LNG plant in Iran, Besharati added.

The Plant with a capacity of 2 million tons per year will be manufactured with Pergas' participation, he added.

Iran says that LNG export to foreign markets including the EU is its priority.

Earlier Jafar Pourfarjoudi, spokesperson of Iran's Oil Ministry told Trend, that the Islamic Republic is planning to obtain the floating liquefied natural gas vessels (FLNG) as a solution for exporting gas to distant markets.
