Tabriz Oil Refinery of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province has produced Group II Base Oil for the first time in Iran, Gholamreza Bagheri Dizaj, CEO of Tabriz Oil Refining Company, told journalists, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
According to Bagheri Dizaj, this oil was produced as a catalyst from “ISO offtest” byproduct.
Bagheri Dizaj said that this oil was produced for the production of petrol and diesel oils.
"This company has implemented major projects in the field of environmental protection in line with national and international standards. 369 million euros and 406 billion rials (app. $9.66 million) were invested to this end,” he said.
Bagheri Dizaj added that the company has taken a number of steps with regards to the production of petrol, raising the standard of the petrol produced to the Euro 5 standard.
"With the execution of the GHP (Gasoil Hydro Treating Project) project, the company managed to produce 2.8-3 million liters of Euro 5 diesel daily," he said.
Tabriz Oil Refining Company of Iran is a private company.
