Iran expects sharp increase in revenues and expenditures in next year's budget

TEHRAN, Iran, Dec. 14

The estimated revenues and expenditures in the next Iranian year's budget show a significant increase, Deputy Chairman of Planning and Budget Commission of the Iran Parliament said.

"No decision has been taken in the budget regarding energy carriers," Mohammadreza Mirtajeddini Iranian MP said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency,

He went on to say that the Oil Barter contracts were forecasted in the current year`s budget and it was good to support construction projects, but it has been eliminated in the budget of next Iranian year (starts on March 21, 2021).

"The next Iranian year's budget has been set very generously, and the figures show a significant increase in terms of revenue and expenses," he said.

He said that the apparent dependence of the next year`s budget on oil is 25 percent. "But if we count the revenues of oil export and petroleum products, the oil dependency will be more than 40 percent."
