The secretary of Iran`s Automobile Importers Association Mehdi Dadfar said that the parliament`s bill on import of used automobile to Islamic Republic of Iran is enforceable, and will lead to an increase in car prices in free economic zones, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Referring to the bill approved by the Parliament Budget Integration Commission regarding the import of second-hand cars through the free zones, Dadfar explained that the import of second-hand cars is not actually free, but the second-hand cars in the free zones will be allowed to enter the country,”
“According to the car import regulations, any cars which are going to be imported into the country must be produced at least a year before the time of entrance,” he said. “It means that in 2021, the model of imported cars should be 2020.”
