TEHRAN, Iran, July 9
Trend:
The increase of Iran's trade volume with Iraq is directly related to improving the standards for export of commodities, said vice president of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Shahla Amouri, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The infrastructure for commodity export to Iraq through joint borders requires development and improvement to boost the entire trade between the two countries," said Amouri.
"It is expected that Iranian and Iraqi governments would monitor implementation commitment between Iranian exporters and Iraqi importers, to reduce any possible problems," she said.
"In this regard it is necessary that special arbitration centers for economic activities would work in the two countries," she said.
"Iran's charge d'affaires in Iraq was asked to review the different Iraqi customs tariff rates at certain joint border crossing points," Amouri explained.
"It is hoped that the upcoming visit of the head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce to Iraq would expand trade ties and prepare the ground for trade exhibition in various provinces in Iraq," she said.
