TEHRAN, Iran, November 9. Head of Iran's Planning and Budget Organization Masoud Mirkazemi announced that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has permitted the government to withdraw money for housing and employment creation projects from its oil reserves in the National Development Fund (NDF), Trend reports citing IRNA.
Mirkazemi noted that the current Iranian year (started on March 21) is the only year that 40 percent of the total oil revenues have been deposited into the National Development Fund.
The official announced that the government wrote a letter to Khamenei, asking him to allow the withdrawal of 20 percent of the oil revenues from the NDF.
Khamenei has agreed for the government to withdraw 10 percent instead of 20.
