BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 9. Production of passenger cars by Iranian automaker Saipa decreased by 6. 1 percent in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024), Trend reports.
The company produced 265,007 units of passenger cars in 11 months. While the company produced 282,282 units of passenger cars in the same period last year.
The company has produced 215,946 units of passenger cars of the x200 (Tiba, Quick, and Saina), 46,708 units of Shahin, 19 units of Aria, and 2,334 units of other models during the past 11 months.
Meanwhile, the country produced 1.04 million passenger cars in the first 11 months of the year. This is 6 percent more than in the same period last year (980,000 units).
To note, the production of various types of cars by state-owned companies in Iran amounted to about 1.23 million units.
