Iran's export of non-oil products through Bashmaq customs announced

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26. Iran exported 1.16 million tons of non-oil products worth $703 million through Bashmaq Customs of Kurdistan Province, located in western Iran, last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), Head of Iran's Bashmaq Customs Administration Farid Hagpanah said, Trend reports.

According to Hagpanah, exports of non-oil products through Bashmaq customs increased by 34 percent in weight terms compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

The official did not specify whether non-oil exports increased or decreased in value terms.

Hagpanah stated that last year, Iran imported 31,000 tons of products worth $352 million through Bashmaq customs.

He added that 2.58 million tons of products worth $3.77 billion were transported through Bashmaq customs last year.

Iran's Bashmaq Customs is located 15 kilometers west of the Marivan district of Kurdistan province on the border with Iraq.

To note, Iran's Bashmaq Customs is considered one of the main transit customs for products.
