Production of Iran's Nakhlak mining complex increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. Production of lead concentrate at the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex in Isfahan Province, located in the center of the country, increased by 42.3 percent during 11 months of the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19) compared to the same period. of the previous year, the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) said, Trend reports.

According to the information, the complex produced about 12,700 (12,658) tons of lead concentrate in the last 11 months of the Iranian year. During the same period last year, the figure was about 8,900 (8,898) tons.

Meanwhile, the complex produced approximately 416,000 (415,855) tons of mining material in the first 11 months. This is an increase of 51 percent over the same period last year (275,915 tons).

The information adds that in the first 11 months, 10,100 (10,120) tons of lead concentrate were shipped from the complex to related companies. This is 6 percent more compared to the same period last year (9,558 tons).

Additionally, the complex produced 1,300 tons of lead concentrate in the 11th month of the last Iranian year (from January 21 through February 19, 2024). The production increased by 72 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

The information shows that about 35,000 (34,988) tons of mining minerals were extracted in the 11th month. This is 2.4 percent more compared to the same month last year (34,175 tons).

To note, the Nakhlak mining complex has a lead reserve of 1 million tons. It is expected that this reserve will increase to 3 million tons.
