If the situation does not change in Georgia, perhaps, the ongoing situation will create obstacles in formalizing the Association Agreement. This statement was made by president of the European People's Party Wilfried Martens in a Twitter microblog.
He believes that the arrest of former senior Georgian officials' generates a lot of questions.
It should be stressed that the European People's Party at a recent Euronest meeting tried to include a point condemning the electoral justice in Georgia and Ukraine to the final resolution.
He added that Ukraine will not receive a similar agreement if Kiev does not fulfill the conditions set by the EU.
