Georgia-EU association agreement initialled

A ceremony on the initialling of the association agreement between Georgia and the European Union (EU) was held on Nov.29.
The document was signed by Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
The Georgian side has signed a second agreement suggesting the country's involvement in EU crisis management operations.
A deep and comprehensive free trade agreement was initialled by Georgian Economy Minister Irakli Kvirikashvili and EU Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht.
