A meeting between Georgia's deputy foreign minister, David Dondua, and the EU representatives focused on the priorities for cooperation of the parties and the process of implementation of the association agreement, Georgia's Foreign Ministry told Trend Jan. 16.

Dondua in particular met with Helga Schmid, the deputy secretary general for the external action service, Herbert Salber, the EU special representative for the South Caucasus, and Kestutis Jankauskas, the new head of mission for the EU monitoring mission in Georgia.

The meeting highlighted the role and importance of the EU observer mission's activities in Georgia.

The parties also discussed the agenda of the Geneva talks, the situation in the separatist territories and the impact of the ongoing processes in the region on Georgia's security.
