Volumes of cargo transshipment from Germany via Turkish ports disclosed

Cargo transshipment from Germany through ports of Turkey amounted to 134,947 tons in January 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.

Last month, the volume of cargo transshipment from Germany via Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2,000 tons, while the ships flying the German flag carried 1,648 tons of cargo, and ships flying flags of other countries accounted for the remaining 131,299 tons.

Over the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment in transit from Germany via Turkey's ports amounted to 150,720 tons.

The total cargo transshipment through ports of Turkey exceeded 32.9 million tons in January 2020.

Cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.4 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying flags of their country of origin amounted to over 1.5 million tons, while the vessels flying flags of other countries carried just over 29 million tons of cargo.

In total, over 6.1 million tons of cargo were transported through Turkish ports.
