Firefighters in downtown Columbus, Ohio, have been battling a raging fire that has consumed a block of stores and apartments, AP reported.
Fire Battalion Chief Doug Smith says the blaze in the city's Grandview area burned for several hours before it was contained in early afternoon.
At least one hundred firefighters were rotated in and out of frigid weather to fight the blaze.
The National Weather Service said temperatures have been in the teens in Columbus with wind blowing at about 18 mph.
Smith says the only injury reported is a firefighter who was taken to a hospital for treatment of facial burns.
