A prominent businessman and his family were among the 15 people killed when a plane crashed on Friday in a northeastern resort area of Brazil, CNN affiliate Rede Globo and other Brazilian media reported on Saturday, CNN reported.
The coroner's office confirmed that 11 adults and four children died in the accident, in which the aircraft crashed as it was approaching a runway near the resort town of Trancoso, Rede Globo television network reported.
The plane belonged to Roger Wright - who was traveling with his wife and other family members. Wright, 56, was an ex-partner of Banco Garantia and owner of Arsenal Investimentos, O Globo newspaper reported.
