Suicide attack kills 2 in E. Afghanistan
A suicide bomber blew himself up in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province on Friday, leaving two dead, including the bomber, and wounded two others, Interior Ministry said in a press release.
"A suicide bomber riding an explosive-laden car blew it up in Surkhrod district at 11:45 a.m. local time, killing one person on the spot and wounding two others, all civilians," the press release added, Xinhua reported.
The suicide bomber was also killed in the blast, it added.
Although the Interior Ministry blamed no particular groups for the attack, Taliban militants fighting Afghan and NATO-led troops have intensified activities mostly in the shape of suicide and roadside bombings which often harm civilians.
