The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Tuesday sentenced Belgrade's former chief general, Momcilo Perisic, to 27 years in prison for war crimes in Bosnia and Croatia, DPA reported.
Perisic, 67, was convicted for his role in the Yugoslav army in the siege of Sarajevo, the Srebrenica massacre and rocket attacks on Zagreb and other targets in Croatia.
