In September 2019, 5,114 ships arrived at Turkish ports, the gross registered tonnage of which amounted to 66.413 million tons, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
During the reporting period, 2,108 ships flying the Turkish flag and 3,006 ships flying flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
The gross registered tonnage of ships, which arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag in September 2019, amounted to 10.923 million tons, and of the ships under flags of other countries equaled to 55.49 million tons.
From January to September 2019, Turkish ports received 41,481 ships, the gross registered tonnage of which amounted to 590.927 million tons.
“In the reporting period, 16,003 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 25,478 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports,” the report said.
From January to September 2019, the gross registered tonnage of vessels that arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag amounted to 88.608 million tons, while the gross registered tonnage of vessels under flags of other countries equaled to 502.318 million tons.
