Cargo transshipment volumes from Iran via Turkish ports in September 2019 revealed

In September 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Iran through Turkish ports amounted to nearly 2.6 million tons, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The ministry noted that in September 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Iran by ships flying the Iranian flag amounted to 1.6 million tons, while ships flying flags of other countries carried 926,497 tons of cargo.
Moreover, cargo transshipment from Iran by ships sailing under the Turkish flag amounted to 44,208 tons.
During this period, no cargo was shipped from Iran in transit through ports of Turkey.
In September 2019, 260.1 million tons of cargo were transshipped in Turkish ports as a whole.
Over the mentioned period, vessels flying the Turkish flag transshipped 21.0 million tons of cargo, while vessels flying the flag of their country – 12.1 million tons, and the vessels flying the flag of other countries – 226.96 million tons of cargo.
