Number of Georgian companies registered in Turkey increases

Eleven companies with Georgian capital were registered in Turkey from January through March 2020, which is nine companies more compared to the same period of 2019, Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend.

In 1Q2020, the total capital of Georgian companies registered in Turkey amounted to 226,000 Turkish liras ($32,415) compared to 105,000 liras ($15,060) in the same period of 2019.

During the reporting period, most Georgian companies were registered in Istanbul (nine companies) with a total capital of 161,000 liras ($23,092).

One of the companies with Georgian capital registered in Turkey operates in the industrial sector, and ten – in wholesale and retail trade.

According to the data, the total capital of 10 companies registered in the reporting period in the field of wholesale and retail trade amounted to 225 million liras ($32.2 million).
