Turkish Antalya port reveals volume of handled cargo

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The Turkish port of Antalya handled 1.01 million tons of cargo from January through March 2022, the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry told Trend.

A total of 61,094 tons of cargo was transported by ships under the flag of Turkey through the port of Antalya and 953,641 tons by ships under the flags of other countries, Ministry noted.

"Turkish port of Antalya did not transship transit cargo in 1Q2022," the ministry said.

Ports of Turkey handled 24,182 tons of cargo in March 2022. Cargo transportation by ships flying the Turkish flag through local ports amounted to 2,288 tons during this period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 31,893 tons.

Turkish ports handled 6,671 tons of transit cargo in March 2022.

Turkish ports handled 98,649 tons of cargo in 1Q2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6,964 tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 91,684 tons.

Turkish ports handled 20,574 tons of transit cargo in 1Q2022.

Ports of Turkey handled 386,396 tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29,999 tons.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356,397 tons in 2021.

In addition, Turkish ports handled 78,000 tons of transit cargo last year.
