BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. A total of 224 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye in October 2023, 61 companies less than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports, referring to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).
According to the information, in the reporting period, despite the decrease in the number of registered Azerbaijani companies, their total capital has increased.
"While in the reporting period, the total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 341.8 million Turkish Liras ($11.8 million), in the same period of 2022, the figure was 113.9 million Turkish Liras ($3.9 million)," TOBB stated in the report.
It was also noted that in October 2023, the majority of Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (186).
"The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 313.4 million Turkish Liras ($10.8 million)," the TOBB report said.
It was emphasized that 122 wholesale and retail trading companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye in October 2023.
The rest of the companies operate in other sectors of the economy.
