Justice and Development Party will undoubtedly win in the upcoming elections in Turkey, and most likely will form a government alone, said Kemal Ozer, an expert on Turkey.
"The victory of AKP in the parliamentary elections is doubtless," Ozer told Trend by telephone from Istanbul.

According to the expert, the Republican People's Party (CHP) will be the second in the elections, while the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) will be the third with a relatively smaller percentage of votes.
Parliamentary elections in Turkey are scheduled for June 12. Erdogan's party has been in power in Turkey since November 2002. At the last parliamentary elections held in June 2007, it gained about 47 percent of the votes and formed a single-party government.
Ozer's opinion is shared by an expert on Turkish politics Ahmed Tashgetiren, who also believes that the Justice and Development Party has the best chances to win the elections in Turkey.
According to Tashgetiren, currently the number of seats that the AKP will gain in this election is of great interest.

If the AKP gains 330 seats in parliament, the changes to the constitution will be possible to be made via referendum, and if the AKP gains 367 seats, there will be no need to hold a referendum, and the constitution can be amended in the parliament, said Tashgetiren.
Speaking about the creation of a coalition between the Republican People's Party and the Party for Peace and Democracy, the expert said that he excludes such a possibility, since there is no doubt that the government will be formed by AKP.

"There will be no need to create a coalition because the Justice and Development Party will have enough MPs to form the government," Tashgetiren added.
According to the head of the Turkish Center for International Relations and Strategic Analysis (TÜRKSAM) Sinan Ogan, even if the Justice and Development Party wins the parliamentary elections, it will create a coalition.

"It is possible that the Republican People's Party will unite with the Party for Peace and Democracy to rule together in the AKP, Ogan told Trend said by telephone from Ankara.

According to Ozer, the rapprochement, which is observed between the CHP and the BDP, is normal because the parties understand that the chances of Justice and Development Party to lead and form the government are very high, so try to weaken the influence of the AKP.
"There is a danger for other parties, the AKP can change the constitution, if gains more than 367 seats in parliament. Therefore, CHP and BDP are trying to create a coalition," said Ozer.
