The bilateral Turkmen-Turkish talks on economic cooperation will be held within the same dates fixed for the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Istanbul (Turkey), an official Turkmen source said.
According to him, Turkmenistan's delegation is headed by Vice Premier Tuvakmamed Japarov, who is responsible for the banking sphere, finance and investment flows in the country.
The two countries are interested in a number of energy projects, including projects in the supply of the Turkmen energy resources to Europe via Turkey. At present, the Turkmen electricity is supplied to Turkey via Iran.
According to experts, in the current situation, this route will not be removed from the talks' agenda. At the same time, the issue of promoting the Nabucco gas pipeline project under the Caspian Sea via Azerbaijan remains urgent.
