One person was killed, two other injured in a clash between protesters and police in Behbahan city in southwestern Iran.
The incident took place Dec. 15, as some people who were not hired for work within a refinery project construction, gathered in the city to protest.
Meanwhile, Hossein Malek-Khodaei, the governor of Behbahan claims the protesters were armed and opened fire at the police, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported.
As a result of the armed clash one of the protesters was killed, two more protesters got injured, he said, adding thatthose who were responsible for the gathering have been arrested.
The protests have been going on for several days.
