Iran's top military official calls Ahmadinejad's behavior unacceptable

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran, General Seyyed Hassan Firouzabadi has criticized country's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for the remaks he recently made, ILNA reported.

Yesterday in Iran's Khuzestan province, while delivering a speech to the people, Ahmadinejad threatened to unveil corruption of his his critics, also adding that some authorities said he should not "talk about corruption..."

Ahmadinejad also appealed to his critics, saying that they are "nobody and cannot decide on behalf of people".

General Seyyed Hassan Firouzabadi said Ahmadinejad's behavior is unacceptable, and is disturbing the public opinion.

"Mr. Ahmadinejad should stop talking like this, as it contradicts with the vision of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Firouzabadi said.

The next presidential elections in Iran are planned to be held on June 14, 2013.

The voters will select the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third term according to the country's constitutional laws.

Iranian president supports the head of his administration Rahim Mashaei who is also the
father-in-law of Ahmadinejad's son.
