About 28 percent of the population prefer to purchase goods and services via the Internet, the analysis on the current state of information technologies in the country conducted by the Azerbaijan Marketing Association said.
According to the association, the vast majority (72 percent) of the population in Azerbaijan prefer to buy goods in the traditional way.
About 26 percent of respondents in Azerbaijan express their distrust of electronic shops. About 15 percent of respondents do not have plastic cards, while 8 percent are not able to purchase virtual goods and services.
About 2 percent of respondents had problems with buying goods over the Internet.
